Orem Summerfest...
It is the Malone tradition to attend the summerfest parade every year. This year Whitney and I left around 3:00 pm to try and get us a decent spot, so that we could actually watch the parade. We found the perfect spot in the shade and were pretty happy until right around the start of the parade. We ended up having people come right as the parade was starting and sit right in front of us. So much for going early and saving seats. This year we were able to have Rykert and Lilly come to the parade with us. Whitney ended up taking him and going and sitting in front of the people who sat in front of us. Rykert loved the parade... when time came for the fireworks it was a different story. He ended up getting scared and kept telling us to "go"... Around the time that the fireworks ended he finally adjusted to the sounds and was okay. Lilly on the other hand enjoyed watching the fireworks, which I found a bit strange because she is so jumpy. Here are some of the pictures from the parade.
Lillykins Birthday Party...
On Father's Day we were finally able to celebrate Lilly's first birthday. On her real birthday, which was on May 31st she was feeling really sick and was not able to eat solid food. My mom made her a cake of her own and she really enjoyed being able to dig in. The best part was when Ry decided that he wanted to help her blow out her candle. He is a great big brother! Here are some pictures from that day.
Orem Owlz Season Opener...
Orem Owlz Season Opener...
I have not been to a baseball game since the Provo Angels changed stadiums and became the Orem Owlz. I figured that it was about time that I went. I talked my mom and sisters into going and watching along with me. My good friend Brady Mitchell decided to come and hang out with us as well. My brother Ammon and his best friend Ron decided that they didn't want to miss out on all the action and also tagged along. It was actually a really good game and we had a blast. The game ended up going 13 innings and the Owlz finally pulled off the win. We ended up having a ton of fun when the lights ended up going out and we were all left in the dark for a while. Whitney got out her camera and we took some very interesting photos of us. While the lights were out they had fireworks going, which we also really enjoyed. Here are some of the photos from our amazing night at the ballpark.
