Night at the Museum II...

Tonight my sisters, Adriane and I went down to Movies 8 and watched the movie Night at the Museum 2... I absolutely love history and was very into the movie. So much in fact that I have decided that my main career goal is to work in the Smithsonian. It wasn't until the very end, when the credits were rolling that we realized that the cute cupids in the movie were played by the Jonas Brothers... which of course made the movie better. Overall this has been one of my favorite movies that I have seen in a while!

Pioneer Day Weekend...

Over the Pioneer day weekend my sisters and I decided to hit up a couple of concerts. On Thursday night (July 23rd) we went to the Kenny Chesney concert. Lady Antebellum and Miranda Lambert were also performing there. We got there at 5:45 and were kinda shocked to see the concert had already started (it started at 5:30) . We got to our seats and were a little unimpressed at how far away they were from the stage. I have never sat so far back! A girl from our student ward bought the tickets and we decided that this was the last time that we would let someone else get us seats. The people in front of us were a bit scary... the mom of the family was all over the place (drinking beer)... and the daughter had a dress on that barely covered her and everytime she would start to dance it came up, (thankfully we noticed that she had some really short shorts on) she also was drinking beer (however I am pretty sure she was underage... she looked like she couldn't be more than 18). Before Kenny came on the girl from the ward asked us if we would mind switching her seats (she was in a different section) we agreed and were glad that we did. The people in that section were better to be around and the few drunks were pretty funny. So funny in fact that we took a picture of them and spend most of the concert laughing at the things they were doing.

On Friday (July 24th) my mom, sisters and I went to the SCERA Shell and went to the Restless Heart/Collin Raye concert. Whitney and I have seen Collin Raye a few times now but surprisingly I really enjoyed the concert, even though I was afraid I would end up getting bored. During the parts where we were a little bored we just took pictures of us... The SCERA youth theater group was selling glow sticks trying to earn money, seeing this gave us an idea that we executed once getting home. 4th of July Weekend

Every year for the 4th of July my family has a tradition of saving places for the parade. Somehow it ends up being Whitney and me going and doing the saving. This year we left at 10:00 am to make sure that we were able to get good places. This year they actually held to the rules and no one could set up until 3 pm. We spent the afternoon sitting in the car and then in the shade waiting for 3 to roll around. Luckily we were able to get the places that we wanted. Whitney's friends Tasha and Dom were supposed to come and take our places so that we could go home and get ready. They ended up taking their time and we ended up asking another set of her friends (who ended up sitting next to us) if they would watch it until they got there. We went back later on in the evening and hung out. Our bishop told us that he would be down the street from us so we went and saw him. He ended up buying us dinner from his brother's restaurant. It was some really good food. I had fried pickles for the first time in forever! Later that night it ended up pouring rain and soaking us all. Luckily we had a card table there which all 5 (Whitney, Cori, Tasha, Dom and I) of us got under and waited the rain out. Ammon went and got my mom and the kids early in the morning and we had a blast at the parade. Here are some of our pictures from saving places and of the parade...

Stadium of Fire...

I went to the Stadium of Fire for the first time this year. Whitney really wanted to go and see the Jonas Brothers and got me to agree to go. We had been watching them on the Disney Channel in their new show Jonas. I finally agreed to go and we went and got tickets a week before the concert. I am now totally in love with them!
